| Inside the housing of the Luminator a powerful red or green LED (light emitting diode), an aperture and a special optic are installed. The shape of the aperture determines the type of projection, for example a positioning cross. The light beam is then focused by a special optic that is connected to the housing with a small adjusting screw. This allows the user to focus the Luminator as required, resulting in a perfect and sharp projection for every application.
The standard model is equipped with a positioning cross. Alternatively customers with special applications have the possibility to order other types of apertures. Z-LASER uses two different special optics, which are chosen according to the projection distance or the projection size. The smallest possible projection distance is only 8cm for a cross with a line length of <3mm, while in the largest distance of 90cm the same cross is projected with a line length of up to 50mm. The flexibility of the projection distances is due to the fact that the installation of the Luminator should be vertical so that projection distortions may be eliminated.
Z-LASER has developed the Luminator especially for the textile industry, where it is used for ironing machines or for the positioning of collar studs for example. In general the Luminator supports and facilitates the work in every situation where there is only little space for projection and the need for a marking cross. The Luminator will give you the invaluable advantage of a better and faster finish due to the easier positioning of the textile and also by the elimination of mistakes.
The Luminator Z5L is available with a red or green light source. Z-LASER offers two special optics (ZL-35 and ZL-50) and three standard apertures (x1 (small cross), x1,5 (big cross) and HH (double-H-cross)). The construction of further customized apertures is available on request. The following table helps you to choose the suitable Luminator for your special application.
